Isolda My Love

Isolda is a beautiful line of jewellery. Each piece is one of a kind, a mixture of antique elements, remade into modern and wearable gems. The company was set up by the fabulous half British, half Brazilian sisters, Juliana and Alessandra.

I don't think every company is a good fit for me. It is more than aesthetic that needs to be shared, it is also references and history amongst other things. Isolda is one. Their pieces remind me of jewellery my grandmother wore, and all the insects and birds are things my mother and I would own. Their is something wonderfully everyday luxury about their pieces, which makes me think of by love for Hermes in a funny way.

Isolda is a small company but the each piece has the love and attention that means that wont be the case for long. You might have seen Amber of 'Made in Chelsea' sporting a few of their pieces since they started to stock on her website.

Isolda has all the charm of the antique and all the practicality of the modern. I have loved wearing their pieces, and I hope you all enjoy the pictures!

Jumpsuit Eairth (gifted)(I will do a full post of the jumpsuit later), Shoes Prada, Scarf Missoni, and all jewellery Isolda (samples).

Flowers and Lace

Photos by Pete Navey

I bought this dress last summer, I think it is the best thing Kate Moss made with Topshop.  Whenever people see me in it, they always ask me where it is from, and they never believe me when I say it is Kate Moss for Topshop. I have happy memories in this dress and I think that always makes you like clothes more. Although it definitely looks a bit bland without an extra belt.  Its amazing what difference a belt can make to so many different clothes.

Dress Kate Moss for Topshop, Purple sash a DIY, Flower Corsage H&M, Shoes Christian Louboutin.

Working Girl

Photos by Pete Navey

Sometimes we all have to go to work... by which I mean, a proper-office-situation. I tend to avoid the endless computer screens as much as possible - I strongly associate them with accounting = boring (I was never that great at maths) - but now and then all of us must visit a serious office.  This is my version of the working girl.

Shoes Christian Louboutin, Trousers Day Birger et Mikkelsen, Shirt K by Karl Largerfeld, Waistcoat Zara, Clutch Smythsons, Hat Maison Michel, Belt (from Far East Plaza Singapore)and Bow tie Vintage.

A Touch of Pink

I love a pink cupcake every now and then.  Especially the little ones like these, they are a perfect mouthful.
I use a Primrose Bakery buttercream recipe (although I add less sugar than they say, as I cant take that much sweetness), and I use a Mary Berry cake batter recipe.

Net-a-Porter ♥ Bloggers!

How are bloggers changing fashion?
That was the question that Net-a-Porter TV put to me last LFW.
Have a look what Schott Schuman, Rumi, Bryan Boy, Hanneli and I had to say, we are all featured in this weeks Net-a-Porter Magazine about Bloggers (Check out NET-A-PORTER.COM's fab new magazine)

You might remember I was on Net-a-Porter TV another time, you can see that HERE! (forgive that I am wearing the same outfit, it was the same day ok!)

Denim and Leather

Photos by Pete Navey

I think most people think of slightly lacking secretaries when they think of pencil skirts.  However I don't think that that has to be the case. I like to dress a pencil skirt down, and there is something quite everyday luxury about suede and leather skirts, they are so soft and touchable.  Denim and leather has cowboy connotations, but that doesn't mean you have to go with them, I have gone a bit more city sleek, after all I am in the city! Although 'Where have all the Cowboys gone' still comes to mind?!

Shoes Manolo Blahnik, Bag Louis Vitton (seriously vintage, was my mother's hence the wear and tear), Belt Max Mara, Skirt Zara, Shirt Zara, and Scarf DKNY.
